Director of Faith Formation

Our Lady of the Assumption a vibrant midsize parish in Beloit, WI, is seeking a Christcentered

Director of Faith Formation who is on fire for our Lord. OLA is made up of

1200+ households, and is looking for a DFF who will always strive for excellence. We

are looking for an experienced, forward thinking, enthusiastic, motivational leader, who

can communicate effectively, who works well with a team. Are YOU our ideal

candidate? Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: comprehensive faith formation

process for children ages K through 8

preparation programs for baptism, first reconciliation and first Eucharist; adult education

and Bible study groups; as well as recruitment, training and formation for volunteer

catechists; planning programs and evaluating curricula on all levels; and acting as a

parish resource person in methods and catechetical theology. Exposure to understanding

of and/or experience in Intergenerational Faith Formation will be a big plus. Close work

with our Parish staff and Youth Minister is necessary. Strong leadership, collaborative

and organizational skills are the characteristics of a successful candidate. Bachelor’s

degree in theology, Religious Studies, or related field and/or experience in church faith

formation programming. Master’s degree preferred. Full time 12 month position with
